This is the sixth creation in my project on thinking big, inspired by the book by Richard Newton; The Little Book of Thinking Big. The project is to create ten pieces of artwork, one for each chapter in the book including the introduction, each representing a message relating to thinking big i.e. thinking more productively and creatively.
The Chinese characters are an idiom which can be translated in various ways. The essential meaning is being able to adapt to change, to accept circumstances with good will. As the weather is ever-changing I have used a picture I took in Thailand of the sun shining through moving clouds.
I realise that I’ve used photo manipulation in the last three creations and that certainly wasn’t the direction I expected to take with the artworks for CamZhu. The reason is that this project has been so conceptual that representing the characters has proved too tricky for my amateur painter skills alone.
