Ego

Ego

This is the seventh creation in my project on thinking big, inspired by the book by Richard Newton; The Little Book of Thinking Big. The project is to create ten pieces of artwork, one for each chapter in the book including the introduction, each representing a message relating to thinking big i.e. thinking more productively and creatively.

The Chinese characters mean self or ego. I have used a bright colour and glow for the characters to represent conscious thought and a dark background to represent the subconscious.

In terms of thinking big, the book outlines the need to have a big ego and a small ego. I took this to mean being confident enough in what you are doing to constantly produce but also being humble enough to know that you may not have an impact on the wider world for quite some time.
