Lightweight

Lightweight

This is the ninth creation in my project on thinking big, inspired by the book by Richard Newton; The Little Book of Thinking Big. The project is to create ten pieces of artwork, one for each chapter in the book including the introduction, each representing a message relating to thinking big i.e. thinking more productively and creatively.

The Chinese characters mean lightweight.

So this is a fairly straightforward representation of something being lightweight – a balloon floating skyward. The chapter in the book talks about metaphorically travelling light, keeping your mind free of baggage, to make sure you don’t get weighed down as it were by life. I took this to mean not holding on to opinions forever and being open to change. I like the idea of the floating balloon representing a wandering mind.
