At the beginning of what should be a functional break for me, I’ve painted the characters for time. I used an oils brush and a liquid ink brush for the characters themselves, changed the paper settings of the background for the material effect, and used a digital air-brush to make the rough border.
I wanted the image background to represent the strands of individual lives that run more of less parallel to each other but cross paths occasionally, making part of a fabric.
