Tool

Tool

This is the eighth creation in my project on thinking big, inspired by the book by Richard Newton; The Little Book of Thinking Big. The project is to create ten pieces of artwork, one for each chapter in the book including the introduction, each representing a message relating to thinking big i.e. thinking more productively and creatively.

The Chinese characters mean tool or instrument, or more broadly means as in a way of getting something done.

As my main tool is Painter I have tried to represent using Painter. The simple shapes represent the blank canvas/screen and possibilties of creation. I only just discovered how to make triangles, which is why I have used them, something so simple took me a while, but still, I know now. The bursting colour pattern behind represents putting paint on that canvas and using a tool or tools to bring ideas out of ones mind and create art.

I also finally worked out how to remove backgrounds from creations so that Redbubble can print without the square background. I think this greatly enhances the possibilities of available products. Check out what the above creation looks like on a range of products by clicking here.
